Tyler Jamal Smith was born and raised in Sanford, NC. His upbringing was rough, having grown up within a torn household and community. His family has been plagued by the consequences that stem from the streets as well as mass incarceration. Of whom to include are his father, brother, grandfather, uncles and other relatives who are in prison. This subsequently created a very challenging childhood. At the age of 15, Jamal was involved in a life changing incident, having been charged with 1st degree murder and attempted armed robbery charges that shaped the rest of his future. Since overcoming, he went on to graduate from High School and immediately joined the military afterwards. Jamal has served in the United States Army with a multitude of highly prestigious units; of whom to include are the 10th Mountain Division, 82nd Airborne Division as an Airborne Paratrooper and finishing with the 7th Special Forces Group for a combined total of 7 years military service. Jamal is a husband and father of two. He now travels and speaks, seeking to inspire and motivate others to chase after their dreams despite life’s obstacles. He serves as a living testimony, that’s it’s not only worth it but it’s possible. This book will detail, from a cinematic point of view, the detrimental consequences that stem from removing the man from the household.
