Eastman and Rozen ( Dinosaur Brains , LJ 4/1/89) define the problem and suggest myriad solutions to deal with different kinds of anger in children, from preschoolers to teens. The authors emphasize positive ways to express feelings so that parents can stop the anger cycle. They point out that while fights among siblings are inevitable, physical aggression is never acceptable; in addition, parents should refrain from too much reasoning or moralizing in the midst of battle.
