This allows her to place its content in a phenomenological framework that is anchored in a qualitative, heuristic research model. Her focus in this book is on using embodied, experiential meanings that emerge out of her personal experiences as she has lived them. This book is, therefore, more personal and also more relational in a larger sense of the word. Not only does she focus on the significant role that her parents, partners, children, and family relationships played in her early development but she also writes in a more relational style. She connects herself to the topics through her own experiences to bring the material to life.
