Can you see yourself standing tall and strong with unlimited confidence? Now imagine everyone with whom you come into contact seeing you as poised, wise, calm, centered and at peace even during the worst of circumstances.You even bring a sense of calmness to their spirit just from your presence. This brings you great respect. People think you mysteriously know something they do not. And perhaps you do. You can have all of that and so much more.

Having a sense of peace with life brings prosperity as well because you have become open to the guidance life has for you. You may prosper, as you've never imagined possible. Would you believe that many wildly successful people give credit to their success on their meditation practice? That's right. Having a practice that keeps them centered and focused on the right tasks, greatly contributed to their success. In this context, success is financial success and happiness. Although this book lightly touches on a meditation practice, the concepts described go well beyond meditation.

Having a sense of inner nirvana is not the ultimate goal, but is the ultimate state of being in the chaotic world in which we live. This path is not about our goals or destinations; it is about the state of being we have while we are on this roller coaster called life. You can have peace and inner nirvana -- not when you retire, but now.

Why are we all in a hurry? Are we trying to leave a legacy behind? Is that what all this commotion is about? We live in a society today where we think productivity is the key to success. The more we accomplish, the further ahead we will get. My question is, further ahead on what path?

If you've picked up this book, I'm guessing that you hope there is more to life than just having a job, paying bills and taking a two-week vacation every year to de-stress. Many people think they want that promotion because it will provide them the means to get more of what they want, maybe to get ahead just a little. If we all look deeper though, what we really want in life is not that promotion, it is peace and fulfillment in our lives right now.

So we try to control and manipulate our lives, attempting to put things in our path that will give us that edge, get us a little further ahead. We don't dare make big changes because that is too risky. Most people fear that making major changes could mean losing the house and putting the family on the street. Our fear keeps us running in circles just like everyone else trying to get ahead or just stay afloat.

That was my life for a while. However, my life started to shift, not by forcing major changes, but by moving toward acceptance and loving what is here now. I got a renewed perspective of my fears and limiting beliefs. Those fears and beliefs turned into gold as I brought awareness and acceptance to them. My relationships transformed right in front of my eyes especially with my husband. And when I stopped trying to manipulate my life, things got super easy-- and fun. My heart had a sense of peace with all that is and my life started to unfold beautifully into a life of fulfillment and yes, pure nirvana. Nirvana to me is the ultimate state of peace in the most heavenly way imaginable. I wake each morning now with a deep sense of gratitude for my life.

As a teacher in the wellness field, I feel a deep desire and obligation to share my life lessons. By sharing my personal journey of challenges, weaknesses, fears, resentments, anger, sadness, and finding peace with all of it, I hope that everyone who reads this can live their best life, too. I was able to find the gold nuggets in my struggles and I want to share those gems with you.
