In high school I broke free and began my long journey towards becoming a Mountain Lion The journey included ski patrolman, District Ranger with the Forest Service, Organization Development consultant to a variety of governmental and private organizations, and a leader of marathon therapy groups called “Leadership Labs.” A Mountain Lion by instinct, when chased by a pack of hounds, climbs a tree. The hunter, hearing the yapping, finally arrives and shoots the lion out of the tree. But a Crazy Mountain Lion doesn’t climb the tree. Instead he has a hound or two for lunch. This is Richard Platt’s journey from Scared Rabbit to “Iishpiiwaalaaxash”, Crazy Mountain Lion in the Crow language.
